I know that is can be very frustrating to have issues with your ice dispenser. If the dispenser does not work at all, make sure the lock feature has not been accidentally activated. If it is okay, remove the complete ice bucket & clean out all of the ice so you can inspect the auger. You should be able to turn the auger freely by hand. With the ice bucket out & the freezer door open, press in the light switch & call for ice, you should see the coupling of the auger motor moving. If the auger motor is not moving, try turning it with a pair of pliers, it may be frozen up. If the auger motor turns & the ice bucket is in place correctly, you will need to find what is binding up. If it's ok, then the door light (interlock) switch may have failed. To check this switch, first disconnect power to the unit. Now pry the switch out and connect the black and blue/black wires together. Make sure they don't touch anything and reconnect the power cord. If the dispenser now works, the switch will need to be replaced.

If only the ice is not dispensing, it could be a defective auger motor or the dispenser control. This will require making some ac and dc voltage checks. I recommend having a technician make these checks. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
