Q:

I need to replace the Bi-Metal-Def part, do I pull the wires out of the connecter or do I pull the whole connector from the back of the freezer?

A:

Replacing parts like this do help with instructions. There is always something connected you do not see in the diagram. While you wait for the expert, if you like you can view the schematics at Sears Parts Direct. It gives an exploded view and may help. I also added the owner's manual if needed. Hope this helps!

A:

The expert answer is weak. I could read that in the manual, the problem is the W style condenser blocks access to coils except those in front. manual says needs no or infrequent cleaning, HA! mine was so dusty after just one year it had to be running longer. i was wondering if there is a special brush or if rear access would help. the design is poor what is really needed is a side access panel.

Totally agree with KenCT, there is no good way (I can see) to clean the coils. This is clearly a design flaw in my eyes. I would really appreciate another expert answer, I'm at a loss.
