Question and Answers

Q:

Refrigerator water filter 10657282790

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. Thank you for your question. The manual shows for some models that do have the water filter. Now all models do. You can, however, choose to add a water filter to the back of the water line with our inline water filter kit. The part number for that is 4392945. You can give us a call at 1800-366-7278 or click here to order the kit. I hope this helps! Have a great day.

Q:

There is hole in the water feed line in ice and water dispenser . I'm ordering that line, can you just feed that through the door to the bottom and out or do yo 10657282790 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for your question. I suspect this is the water line in the door that has the hole. This water line # 4388152 can be replaced. First, disconnect power to the unit and shut the water supply valve at the wall off. Now, disconnect the water line at the connection under the freezer door and be prepared to catch some water. I'm attaching a picture of how this fitting works. Now, remove the front dispenser cover (see second image) and for easier access, the bracket control (# 15 in third image). This will give you easy access to remove the screw, holding the water fitting (# 10) and you can now pull the loose water line up through the door. To replace the tube, reverse the procedure and push the tube back down through the door and reconnect it, at the fitting under the door. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services.

Q:

Refig lights and friz lights and ice maker not working Coldspot 10657282790

A:

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your refrigerator. From what you are describing, it sounds like the door switch is the most likely problem. This will control both the lights and the ice maker. However, since it is both sets of lights the control board could have malfunctioned. In order to know which part is causing the problem, you will need to test the connections with and ohm/volt meter. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using Manage My Life.com.
