Question and Answers

Q:

ice bin 10657039600 Kenmore Side by side refrigerator

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the difficulty you are having with the reassembly of the ice bin and auger. I know how frustrating that is.

Unfortunately, we do not have a service manual or diagrams showing the assembly of the auger components. However, it sounds like something is not lining up, which is causing the extra height. You will likely have to disassemble it again and make sure everything fits together properly. There are a lot of pieces involved, that would be the only explainable reason for the reassembly issue.

If you continue to have issues with it, we would recommend having a service technician help assist with the repair. If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Can the rubber spout that fills the icemaker be removed and then replaced once a new icemaker is installed

A:

I can understand how frustrating this problem can be for you. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I have found a link that provide the instructions for removing and replacing the icemaker. The fill tube is removable and can be replace. It should be part of the kit that you ordered. The instructions should tell you how to do this. I hope this will help you.

The fill tube was not included but when I'm trying to slide the icemaker back in, the fill tube is in the way. I just want to make sure I can pull it off and put it back in without it hurting anything.

The rubber spout that fills the icemaker is attached to the tubing that goes down the back of the cabinet and connects to the water valve. This fill tube is replaceable, but it is not a simple job.

To replace the fill tube someone needs to push on it from the back of the cabinet while you pull the tube into the freezer. Before you start, be sure there is no ice built up inside the tube. If ice is frozen in the tube it can't slide inside the channel and will break off.

You can order the fill tube at Parts Direct The part number of the fill tube is 2256096 and the price is $10.71.

I read your post and wanted to add, the tube is one piece from the icemaker through the rear of the cabinet and down to the water valve. You can not pull the tube out then insert it after the icemaker is installed. It sounds like the fill tube in your refrigerator might be broken inside the cabinet.

If you have more questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.
