Having a appliance fix and it still not working properly can be really disappointing. While you are waiting on a expert to answer your question, a suggestion i have is to visit Sears Home Services website to set service with a Sears technician so you can get this problem fix for the last time. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

I'm sorry you are having a problem with the water system on your refrigerator. After replacing the filter on this model, you will need to press and hold the filter reset button for 2 seconds to reset the light. If the water seems warm check the temperature in the refrigerator section. It should be approx. 36 to 40 degrees. Place a thermometer in some liquid (glass of water) to check the temperature. If the temperature is in this range, it's cooling properly. Now there will not be a lot of chilled water, so if some water was used prior to putting in the filter, it will take awhile to chill more water. You can also adjust the control to a slightly colder setting. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

Q:

Why is my Kenmore side by side refrigerator model #10657032602 getting excessively cold in the freezer and freezing in the fresh food section?

A:

In this model the control is a mechanical thermostat. Control boards and thermostats are completely different. If the freezer is getting excessively cold by this I mean below zero degrees the problem will be with the thermostat. If the thermostat is still at a mid-setting then it will just need to be set to a lower (warmer) temperature setting. If it's already turned to the low setting then the thermostat will need to be replaced. An excessively cold freezer temperature will also cause the refrigerator temperature to get too cold. If the freezer temperature is ok then the reason the fresh food section is too cold will be due to an air flow problem. Air flow will be adjusted with the damper control located next to the thermostat. Whenever either of the two controls is adjusted always give the refrigerator at least 24 hours before attempting to make additional adjustments. If you need additional assistance you can resubmit your question with more details.
