Thank you for your question on the ice chute door hanging open.

There is a kit that replaces the broken supports on the recess housing if they are broken.

The only problem with this kit is that you only get one shot at doing it correctly and or you will need to replace the door because the recess housing is a not replaceable part and only comes with whole freezer door.

The kit comes with instructions on the repair and installation of the kit.

We usually recommend that you have a technician install this but it can be done if you explicitly follow the instructions it comes with.

The part number for the repair kit is: 8201756. This kit is about $83.00. There is a picture of the parts on the site below. Ice door kit .
