Question and Answers

Q:

Why can't I get any water flow, after replacing the filter, on this 106.56873600 side by side?

A:

If the icemaker is getting water, the filter and housing are both ok. If the filter or housing blocks the water flow, the icemaker will not get any water either. This would seem to be a problem with the water valve, the dispenser control or a frozen water line. If you hear a humming noise when the dispenser is activated, it indicates the valve is getting energized. This would indicate a problem with the valve or a frozen line. If nothing happens when the dispenser is activated, the control may not be working, it could be a loose wire or the solenoid, on the valve is open. You can check the wires under the freezer door for a loose connection. Be sure to disconnect power to the unit first. A volt/ohm meter will be required to make the other checks. A technician may be needed to make these checks. I'm listing a web site you can check to get a technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
