Error Codes

Error Code:

Question and Answers

What's wrong with my icemaker?

If it flashes twice, pauses and flashes twice again and continues doing this while the door is open, it's normal. I'm sending you a chart for the red light that will instruct you about the error codes. If this is a normal code, then the icemaker will need to be checked. There are some test terminals on the icemaker module that may help determine the problem. To access the module, pull the front cover off of the icemaker and you will see the module. The test terminals will be marked (see picture). Use a well insulated jumper and place it between the L - V terminals. Be careful this is a hot (live) check. With the jumper in place, water should flow to the icemaker. If water does flow, the icemaker # 2212352 will need to be replaced. If no water flows but you can hear a humming noise, the water valve # 4389178 will need to be replaced. If nothing happens, some voltage checks will need to be made. A technician may be needed to make these checks. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
