I know it's frustrating when the icemaker stops working. You have already received some very good information. When you close the little flapper door, also press in on the door light switch. If the led light still continues to blink, the optic boards # 4389102 will need to be replaced. The boards come as a kit and is available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

The link that Pvalde2 provided in the above response may help you to diagnose and repair this failure. The light blinking twice and repeating in the freezer when the door is open is normal. Use the procedure shown in that previous answer to see if the light will turn solid when the level sensing beam is not blocked. If it does then the optics control boards should be okay.

If the optics control boards are bad, then they will need to be replaced. You can order a kit from the Sears PartsDirect website that has both control boards. The part number for that kit is 4389102. Here is a direct link for that part: Microcomputer .

Here is a link for a previous answer that has the procedure for replacing those control boards and other technical information for that type of ice making system: How do I get my icemaker to work? There is no ice/water in the system anywhere.

If the control boards are okay, I recommend that you use the additional technical information that I provided in the above link to troubleshoot the ice making system. NOTE: This information is intended for technicians. Follow electrical safety guidelines when using this data. Unplug the refrigerator when accessing internal components. Some tests require that the refrigerator be plugged in with internal components exposed. Use extreme caution when conducting these types of tests. Do not make contact with bare wires or components when they are exposed with the refrigerator plugged in. Unplug the refrigerator as soon as any live testing is completed.

This ice making system can be difficult to diagnose and repair. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
