I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your refrigerator. You should have two fans running, one inside the freezer and one located at the bottom back of the refrigerator. You also should hear the compressor running in the bottom back of the refrigerator too.

If both fans and the compressor is running then it could have a sealed system failure/compressor, leak in the sealed system or it could be just a defrost failure. Open the freezer and look at the lower rear panel. If you see ice/frost accumulating on the panel then you likely have a defrost failure. The cooling coils (evaporator) is located behind that panel and if the unit fails to go into a self defrosting cycle frost and ice will accumulate on the coils of the evaporator and restrict airflow causing the fresh food section to become warmer and eventually the freezer side will begin to warm up also. This type of symptom of not cooling should be diagnosed and repaired by a service technician. If you would like to schedule service, just click on this link: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

How do I install the water filter?

A:

The eject button should be there. I'm sending you pictures and instructions. The only other way to remove the filter on a 106 model is to turn the cap counterclockwise and pull. On this model by twisting the cap and pulling it should only remove the cap not the filter. If you need more assistance you can resubmit your question with more details.

You need to disconnect the power to the refrigerator and remove the front trim on the ice and water dispenser to determine what part or parts are needed for the repair.

To remove the dispenser front trim, remove the drip pan from the bottom of the dispenser. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the notches along the bottom edge of the front trim. Turn the screwdriver to pry the bottom of the front trim loose.

Pull the bottom of the front trim out 1-2 inches and lift it up to remove. You might need to remove the screws holding the bracket and remove the bracket to access the ice dispenser cradle.

If you have questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.
