Question and Answers

Q:

Repair time for Ice maker

A:

When it come to replacing parts on an appliance can be rather time consuming as well quite challenging. i have done some research and have located and provided a link that you may find helpful. If you do decide to have a technician diagnose and make repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the handy scheduler, which I have also added the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. The time to rebuild the icemaker with a new mold will vary according to the repair skills of the person making this change. A skilled technician may take 30 minutes. For some people, it could take an hour or more. Replacing the complete icemaker will take maybe 15 minutes. I would always recommend replacing the complete icemaker verses the mold. When replacing the mold, the rest of the icemaker will still be older parts. I'm also attaching a site you can access that may have this icemaker in stock http://www.amazon.com/Refrigrator-Automatic-Ice-Maker-Kit/dp/B00067YLK2 . I would recommend having a technician make the repair, if you would like to replace the mold but it's very simple to remove and replace the complete icemaker. I hope this will help you.
