Q:

Freezer stopped making ice.

A:

Thanks for the information about your refrigerator model 10654532400, I will be glad to assist you with this. First your refrigerator is a product from 2004-2005 depending on purchase date. Based on the description you have provided the issue could be either inside the ice maker head or the water inlet valve. The most common failure is the inlet valve.  Before you replace the valve be sure to examine the wiring for breaks and loose connections. You can test the head by using a jumper wire , jump between the L and V terminals to call for water(door switch must be taped closed)for the test. If water come through the issue is the ice maker, if no water comes through the most likely cause is the valve.  See the below images for testing instructions/terminal test points.  I hope this helps. Sears Side by Side Refrig -Model #10654532400

A:

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your refrigerator model 10654532400, I will be glad to assist you with this removal. The front cover snaps off, you will need a flat blade and cover the tip with tape to prevent scratching the door panel,  There are two slots at the bottom of the front cover  about 1 ½ inch from each side, insert the flat bald and pry outwards , the cover should snap loose go to opposite side and repeat. Once both sides have snapped loose, pull and lift upwards to remove. Use caution as electrical components will come off with the cover.   Warning it is not uncommon for the cover to break while doing this. Here is a link to Sears Parts Direct.
