No air flow 10653606202 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your refrigerator. Upon researching model10653606202: This type of problem is usually the result of poor air flow. Poor air flow can be caused, if the defrost system is not working, if the return air vent gets restricted (iced up) or if the damper is closed. First check the back panel in the freezer for frosting. If it's building up with frost, the problem will be with the defrost system. As the frost gets thicker, the air flow to the fridge section decreases causing it to get warm.

If the panel is not frosting, check the air flow out of the diffuser in the fridge section. If it feels weak, adjust the damper control toward the coldest setting which should open the damper completely. If there is no difference in air flow, open the freezer door. With the freezer door open, if the air flow increases now, it indicates the return air vent is restricted. In this case you will probably need to turn the unit off for a while, to allow the vent time to thaw out.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.
