Thank you for your question. It is concerning when the refrigerator is not cooling. On your refrigerator the air baffle is controlled by a thermistor located at the air baffle in the refrigerator. When the temperature gets to high, the thermistor signals the board to open the air door and turn on the compressor and the evaporator fan. Cold air is blown into the refrigerator until the thermistor signals the control board the temperature is cool enough.
I would suspect 2 things, a bad thermistor or an inoperative air baffle. The thermistor should be reading the actual temperature inside of the refrigerator. I got you a picture of the readings of the temperatures. The temperatures are in ohms readings and the temperature for the thermistor should be 7000 to 8050 ohms, if the thermistor is reading higher, the thermistor is out of range. The air baffle has 120 volts AC connected to it all the time and the board will electronically apply a neutral to open the baffle, to cool the refrigerator. If you would like to do a project I will assist you in the troubleshooting of the thermistor and the air baffle. Reply to this thread and I will happily assist you. If you would like to have the refrigerator repaired by a professional here is the link. Sears Home Services .

I hope this information is helpful in getting your refrigerator repaired.

Something like this is usually caused by a frozen fill tube. The fill tube has been revised & improved to address this problem if your serial number is listed below. If your serial number is after SM1299999 order part number 2198578 www.searspartsdirect.com Please see the following information & images below for more details. Other possibilities; water valve, low water supply or the ice module assembly.

PROBLEM: Fill tube freezing shut, not allowing the icemaker to make ice. CAUSE: Moisture accumulation in fill tube may freeze and will freeze shut with subsequent icemaker fill cycles.
