How can I determine what is broken on my ice maker? 106.53559202

Thank you for choosing and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your icemaker is not working.

1. Check the temperature of the freezer becasue if it is fewer than 17 degrees F it wont make ice.
2.Check if your water fill spout is plugged with ice, if it is then it wont make ice.
3. Check to see if water is getting to the water inlet valve.
4.Use an OHM meter to check the continuity of the water inlet valve. If it does not have any continuity then you need to replace your water valve. If it does then the icemaker itself is the problem and may need to be replaced.

The red LED is a diagnostic light on the optic boards. The optic boards control the voltage to the icemaker. The LED light can flash an error code that may indicate what the problem is or it will show that the boards are working normal. I'm sending you a chart for this light. If the light is steady with light switch closed, it means the boards are ok. In this case the icemaker will need to be checked.

There are some test terminals on the icemaker module to help determine what the problem could be. To access the module, pull the front cover off of the icemaker. With the cover off, you will see the module and the test terminals will be marked (I'm sending you a picture). Use a well insulated jumper and place it between the L-V terminals. Be careful this is a hot

(live) check. With the jumper in place, water should flow to the icemaker. If water does flow, the icemaker # 2212353 will need to be replaced. If no water flows, some voltage checks will need to be made. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
