Q:

I have a kenmore refrigerator model #10653382300 the ice maker is not getting water to it. But the water dispenser is working on the door.

A:

I can understand how frustrating this would be for you. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I have found a link that may provide some information on the issue. It will give you a series of parts to test. I would suggest that you do a manual defrost on the freezer, to melt any ice in the fill tube. I would also check to make you water is in the line on the back of the refrigerator. You can seperate it to find out. I hope this will help you.

I know it can be frustrating when the icemaker stops working. You have received some good general information from Aashe. This icemaker has some test terminals on the module that may help determine what the problem is. To access the terminals, pull the front cover off of the icemaker. The terminals will be marked (see picture) and using a well insulated jumper, place it between the L - V terminals. Be careful this is a hot (live) check. With the jumper in place, water should flow to the icemaker. If water does flow, the icemaker # 4317943 will need to be replaced. If no water flows but you can hear a humming noise, the water valve # 4389177 will need to be replaced. If nothing at all happens, some voltage checks will need to be made. A technician may be needed to make these checks. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you would like more assistance, additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

How do I check the icemaker?

A:

There are some test terminals on the module of this icemaker that can be used to check it. To access the module, pull the front cover off of the icemaker (see picture) and you will see the module. The test terminals will be marked (see picture). Now use a well insulated jumper and place it between the T - H terminals. The icemaker should now start into a cycle, with the jumper in place. The mold heater should come on and start heating the mold. After approximately 15 seconds, you can remove the jumper and the mold heater will stop heating but the icemaker will continue to cycle. Now watch it and toward the end of the cycle it should fill for 7.5 seconds with 4.5 ounces of water. If the icemaker performs these functions, it's working ok. If you need more assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details.
