Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Refrigerator, Model: 106.52702100. From reviewing the details on your model, the only part that I can think of that acts as a face plate for the filter housing would either be the filter cap or the grille clip. The part number for the filter caps, depending on the color of your refrigerator; are 2186494T for bisque, 2186494B for black, 2186494W for white. The part number for the clip would be 2155013.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

THanks for the response. It is not the filter cap nor the clip. When looking at instruction videos, there is mention of removing the support wire and the plastic face plate from the old water filter housing and re-installing them on the new one. I did remove the wire, but was unaware of the face plate and discarded the old housing. I will install the new housing and see what happens. Thank again.

Q:

Water supply to ice maker does not work 10652702100 Kenmore Side-by-side refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your icemaker is not receiving water.

I recommend testing the water valve with an OHM meter. Even though the water comes out of dispenser the other valve for the icemaker could have gone bad.

1. Check the temperature of the freezer becasue if it is fewer than 17 degrees F it wont make ice.
2.Check if your water fill spout is plugged with ice, if it is then it wont make ice.
3. Check to see if water is getting to the water inlet valve.
4.Use an OHM meter to check the continuity of the water inlet valve. If it does not have any continuity then you need to replace your water valve. If it does then the icemaker itself is the problem and may need to be replaced.

Why can't I get the ice tray to fill with water automatically? I can get drinking water from the door but can't fill the ice maker. What do I need to replace next to make this work?

Understood. Sounds like I need to replace the water valve as the rest of the ice maker is working just fine. Thank you for your assistance.

Q:

Door handle repair 10652702100 Kenmore Side-by-side refrigerator

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

The handle trim pieces will slide up or down depending on whether it's the upper or lower trim being removed. There is an upper and lower trim clip behind the trim keeping it in place. Once the trim is slid up or down, it can be released from the clip behind it. From there, you will have access to the mounting screws to replace the handle. Hopefully this helps with a seamless install.

Let us know if you have any further questions and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
