Question and Answers

Q:

Ice Maker doesn't make ice 10652699100 Kenmore Side-by-side refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you.

1. Check the temperature of the freezer becasue if it is fewer than 17 degrees F it wont make ice.
2.Check if your water fill spout is plugged with ice, if it is then it wont make ice.
3. Check to see if water is getting to the water inlet valve.
4.Use an OHM meter to check the continuity of the water inlet valve. If it does not have any continuity then you need to replace your water valve. If it does then the icemaker itself is the problem and may need to be replaced.

Thank you. I wond up finding this later. I did what he said but there was not enough line for me to pull out the housing from the front. I wanted to see if my pan had a crack in it by removing it. I think one of the tubing connectors leading to the filter housing may have a leak. So I shut off the ice/water line. I wil probably call a repair main tomorrow. Thank you!

Thank you. I removed the pan far enough forward to clean it and see that it was in tact. The water (puddle) only appears once a day toward the left front (about 8 ounces). I shut the ice maker line, and I still find some water (never in the pan though(?)), so at least I know it's not the ice maker line. I can't feel any wet or damp spots on the lower, internal, refrigerator components. I have a guy coming Moinday morning. I discarded the heavy cardboard rear cover - then learned that it goes for $75 for just the part. I may make one out of foam board or something. So that's where I am. Otherwise, itis working fine. Thanks again!
