Q:

I punctured the copper tubing on refrigerator #10652582200. While I was trying to reattach the left door. I think it was the freon tube. How can I fix this?

A:

When home repairs go bad ,it is discouraging. The expert wil review and respond. In the meantime, if it is freon and you need to schedule a qualified technician to repair, I attached the link to Sears Home Services. I also added the parts schematics from Sears Parts Direct to help identify the damaged tubing. I hope the rest of your day is better.

I can understand how important it is to have the right parts for the repair. However, you will need to be more specific on what line was punctured. If it is the line that is connected to the freezer door, this is a water line and it can be patched or cut out. However, if the line is coming from the back of the refrigerator, then this is part of the sealed system. The line is not repairable, the whole system would need to be replaced. You will need a technician for this, because the freon will need to be recharged. This freon is different that what you can buy in the store. You have to be OSHA certified to purchase or use this refrigerator coolant. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the water overflowing. Based on what you have done already, this would appear to be the valve sticking periodically. I would recommend replacing the valve # W10408179. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

I can understand your concern. The information you have received is good but does not pertain to this model. Since the lights and dispense are not working, I suggest checking the freezer door light switch. It also controls voltage to the dispenser. First, disconnect power to the unit. Now pry the switch out. It can be a little tricky but it will pop out. When the switch is out, connect the black and bu/bk wires together and make sure they don't touch anything. Reconnect the power and now press the dispenser lever. If the dispenser works now, the switch # 4387911 will need to be replaced. Also check the lock pad on the dispenser to make sure the dispenser has not been accidently locked.

If the lights in the fridge section are not working, the door switch will need to be checked. Follow the same procedure as stated above and connect the 2 wires on this switch together. If the lights come on when the power is reconnected, the switch # 2149705 will need to be replaced. These parts are available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.
