Q:

Kenmore condensor coils

A:

I know how much harder the refrigerator works when the coils are not cleaned. I am sorry for the inconvenience and I did manage to find a link with a similar question. I am also adding a second link in where you can view the owners manual for your refrigerator. I hope this helps while you wait for your expert response.

Thank you for using Manage My Life. After looking at the model number you provided, the condenser coil is on the bottom of the refrigerator. In order to clean it, you will need to disconnect power to the refrigerator, remove the lower panel and clean the coil gently using a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Once it has been cleaned, replace the panel and restore power to the refrigerator. It can take up to 24 hours for the refrigerator to resume normal cooling inside the cabinet.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Ok, for that particular style of condenser coil, there is actually a special brush used to reach the coils in the back. I apologize for not seeing that the first time. The part number for that brush is 4210463 and I have the link to the brush on Sears Parts Direct linked below. This is the same brush that the field techs use to clean the hard to reach condenser coils. This will help you clean that condenser coil.

I'm sorry you are having this problem with your refrigerator. You have received some good information from Pvalde but it does not pertain to this model. Based on the information listed, this appears to be a problem with the water inlet valve or low water pressure to the refrigerator. First, I suggest checking the water pressure. Shut the water supply valve off and disconnect the water line from the inlet valve behind the refrigerator (see picture). Place the end of the water line in a pitcher and turn the water back on. If it comes out slow, a plumber may be needed to check the water supply. If it comes out under good pressure, it will indicate the inlet valve # 4389177 is restricting the water flow to the dispenser and icemaker. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.
