Q:

Icemaker not filling up with water Model 106.52559100 10652559100 Kenmore Side-by-side refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your refrigerator. Upon researching model 10652559100; it sounds like the icemaker fill tube could be frozen. Swap the icemaker tube with the water dispenser tube on the water valve. Then push the water dispenser paddle. See if water entered the icemaker. The tube is frozen if no water entered the icemaker. If it’s frozen then use a blow dryer to defrost it. There are two sensors that read the ice level. It could be one of those has failed.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

ice maker has stopped making ice 10652559100 Kenmore Side-by-side refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your dryer. Upon researching model 10652559100; the red light is indicating which cycle the icemaker is in. The light should always be blinking. The light should flash either one flash at a time or two flashes at a time. It could be the control switch is not functioning properly. There is a sending and receiving eye that checks the amount of ice in the bin. IF one eye goes out the unit will not signal for more ice.

I am having the same problem. It seems that the water isn't going into the ice maker. The red light always blinks when the door is open and goes solid when the flapper on the left side. It has always worked that way. Previously I had water dripping so it looked like icicles in the freezer. The water works on the freezer door dispenser. And sometimes it would freeze solid and I would use a hairdryer to get the "innards" working again. But why isn't water going into the ice maker at all now? I hope you can help.
