Q:

What's wrong with my ice-maker? 10651139210 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your refrigerator. Upon researching 10651139210; it could be the icemaker water line is frozen. You could swap tubing at the water valve. Swap the icemaker line with the water dispenser line. Then push the water dispenser paddle. Check the icemaker to see if water is in the tray. If there is then the line isn’t frozen. If there isn’t water then the line would need to be defrosted. Remove the tubing and run under warm water or use a blow dryer.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Where is the water valve located? Is it underneath the doors along the bottom? I tried looking through the owners manual for a picture and did not see one.

I had the exact same problem. The root cause was that the connector that controlled the line heater (to keep the water from freezing) was disconnected so the water line froze. It failed 3 weeks after purchase.

The icemaker in the freezer door of my model 106.51139210 Kenmore refrigerator is no longer working. And, the electric eye on my ice maker no longer show a beam or even a flashing light. There is no light at all. I wanted to know if I would have to replace the electronics in the refrigerator door or if there was some other simpler reason and remedy. The refrigerator is not yet two years old.

Q:

blinking interior fridge light on kenmore coldspot side by side model 106.51139210 106.51139210

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Refrigerator, Model: 106.51139210. I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the lights in your refrigerator, and will be happy to see what we can find on the issue. On reviewing your model, the only thing I could find on the strobing effect of the refrigerator lights is it could be a couple of different issues with the fridge. It could either be that the wiring harness has a fault in one of the wires, the light socket might not be wired correctly or it might be loose. I have seen some models that have been recalled for some similar issue where they had light problems, and melting sockets. The only thing I could recommend is having a technician take a look at the refrigerator. I have provided a link below to our sears technicians if you want to set up service.

Here is the link and phone number for our technicians. Sears Home Services or-1-800-469-4663.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and have yourself a wonderful rest of your day.

I had the same issue only to discover that a cost 25% of the value of the refrigerator to replace a LED that the salesperson said was so much better! To make matters worse both light are off on the freezer side too! $400 to replace 2 lights?!?!?!?!? I paid $900 for it in April 2014 ! I am making it a point to let everyone know of this defective item!! Remember when you can buy a light and screw it in for $5.00 I am trying to see if I can sell it as is and go to Best Buy and get a better.

Upon researching model10651139210; I’m showing there is an upgraded spring for the ice container. Under certain conditions ice would build up and the spring wouldn’t have enough force.
