Thanks for the reply, the hose was too hard to replace so we switched the connector from the screw-in to push-in type, it fixed the leaking and the water dispenser works again!

Q:

Liquid leaking from refrigerator. 10650264991 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I understand how important it is to be able to determine what is leaking in your refrigerator. Based on your description, it sounds like the brown liquid leaking will be the sealant sprayed inside the insulation of the refrigerator. It is possible for this to leak out if the cabinet seam isn't completely sealed or due to some moisture that normally builds during use. You can use RTV adhesive to seal the seams where the leak is. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link below to be taken to the page.
Appliance Adhesive
SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
I also recommend checking for clogs or frost in your drain tube to make sure it is not leaking from there. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the icemaker. If the icemaker is still over filling after the water valve has been replaced, it would lead to a faulty icemaker. However, before replacing the icemaker, first try to adjust the water fill. I'm attaching a picture with instructions for adjusting the water fill on this icemaker. If it still overfills, then the icemaker will probably need to be replaced. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
