Q:

Kenmore Refrigerator Model 106.5002 - Interior Lights Flashing 106.5002

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you’re having with the interior lights flickering. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

The most common reason this happens is because the door switch fails. To check the switch, first disconnect power from the unit. Now pry the switch out. It can be a little tricky but it will pop out. When you get the switch out, connect the gray and red wires together and make sure they don't touch anything. Now, reconnect power to the unit and if the light works, the switch will need to be replaced.

If you need the replacement switch, it is part number 2149705. I have linked it below for convenience.

A:

I have the same model and the clear plastic piece that directs the ice into your glass has come loose. It's still partially attached but I cannot seem to put it back in place the right way. I am looking for the manual as well or looking for advice as to how I can fix it myself. It seems like it should be a simple repair, but I don't have any directions on how to do it. Can you help?
