Thank You for contacting ManageMyLife.com

I can understand the frustration when you refrigerator is spraying water like that ever time you change the filter. This sounds like you have 1 of 2 possibilities going on. The first possibilities is that the water filter housing is cracked, when the filter is in place there is enough pressure to keep it from leaking. The only other option is the water valve itself. Which can be the same concept about the water pressure, the filter puts pressure on the valve to keep in closed when the water dispencer is not being used. But I'm really leaning towards the water filter housing.

I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the parts you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue links below to be taken to the page.

I recommend that you try a mild kitchen polish called Bar Keepers Friend to clean the streak marks. You should be able to find that powder at your local grocery store. Try a test on an inconspicuous spot before using it on the front of the doors. I have used that cleanser on many different surfaces and have not found one that it will harm yet. That being said, there can be a first time for everything. That is why I recommend that you try it on a test spot first. That cleanser/polish will probably remove the streaks without harming the finish on the refrigerator.

Let us know if that works. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.
