A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you.

RE-ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE:
1. Pre-assemble the fixed blade assembly and set aside.
a. Position the pin on the plastic block toward the bottom.
b. Place the shoulder washers with the narrow part in the holes in the fixed blades.
c. Slip blade “B” between the shoulder washers with the “B” mark up.
2. Hold the crusher auger shaft upside down with the white portion on the bottom. You will be
assembling the crusher mechanism upside down.
3. Slide the crusher parts onto the auger in the following order:
a. Stirring blade – the “up” mark should be on the bottom
b. Two thick washers
c. Crusher cover with the dimples in the cover facing up
d. One thick washer
e. Crusher blade “C” with the “C” mark facing down
f. One thick washer
g. The complete fixed blade sub-assembly (see Step 1). NOTE: The pin on the plastic block should
be up and the “B” mark on the blade should be down.
h. One thick washer
i. Crusher blade “A” with the “A” mark facing down
j. One thick washer
k. One thin washer

4. Check the order and placement of the components in the crusher assembly  before
installing the assembly in the ice bin. When looking from the top down check the following:
a. The three crusher blades are in the top down order of “C”, “B” and “A”.
b. The word “up” should be visible on the stirrer.
c. The dimples on the crusher cover should be down.
d. The pin on the fixed blade block should be down.
5. Install the ice crusher assembly into the ice bin in a horizontal position. This will keep the crusher
assembly parts from sliding off the auger shaft.
6. Install the thin stainless washer and the upper coupler onto the bottom of the auger shaft. Secure with
the fine-thread machine screw.
7. Secure the crusher cover plate with two course-thread stainless steel screws. Do not over tighten.

Q:

how do i clean the drain line? 10644433601 Kenmore Elite Side by side refrigerator

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your fridge and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 10644433601 and the drain tube being clog with ice or debris is a common issue for refrigerators. You do from time to time have to clear it out. To clean the drain, remove everything out of the freezer so the the back panel can be removed. With the panel out, you can use a hair dryer to remove the ice, just be careful not to get it too hot. Wit the ice removed under the evaporator, you will be able to see the drain hole. Hot water will be needed to clear the drain hole. Keep working the hot water into the hole and wiping the excess water. This can take quite awhile, depending on how deep the ice is. This will need to be done until you get a good water flow down to the bottom drain pan. With the drain system clear, water should stop leaking in the refrigerator. If the drain constantly freezes up after this you can purchase a heating probe for the drain. The heat probe transfers some heat from the heating element to the drain, which will help prevent it from icing up. The heat probe kit is part number 819043. The kit will come with installation instructions. I hope this information helps. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.

Q:

pin housing for ice door flap, broken - can't replace housing? really 106-44433601

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when the pin on the ice dispenser is broken. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you. I have found the pin that holds the ice door flap. Click here to view. I have also found the door mechanism with the pin. Click here to take a look. As for the dispenser housing itself is a non servicable part because it is directly attachted to the door and cannot be removed. The manufactures made the dispenser housing into the door itself. I do apologize for the Inconvenience.
