Q:

Amber Light Illuminated on Water Status Light 10644102300 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

The filter indicator measures how many gallons pass through the dispenser and will start from green. As the unit senses the water usage, the indicator will go from amber to red. Once you have replaced the filter, you can manually reset the indicator by holding the reset button for about 3 seconds to as long as 10 seconds until it turns green.

Since the previous owners left the manual, if you would like to read more information on the water filter indicator and filter replacement, you can refer to page 10 which covers it in more detail.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
