The liner bimetal would be the best place to disable the liner heater if you wish. The image below may help you with this. The liner bimetal should have a gray and yellow/red wires going to it. You can disconnect or snip one and the liner heater will no longer work.

Remember to unplug the refrigerator first.

The images below may help you with this project.

You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.

Hi Fred. I am finally about to do this. The elements in the picture are opposite to mine, but regardless, I can remove either the gray or the red\white going to the element?

Good luck. If the unit is still under any warranty then I don't suggest you do this since any changes can void the warranty.

Thank you for your question.
I will be happy to assist you. I found the tech sheet for your model. The image was too distorted when I posted it to the site. I decided to email the file to you instead. I think it will be easier to see that way.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!

A:

The owner's manuals can be very helpful. I did not locate the online manual for the number above but you might check the Sears Parts Direct link below for a hard copy. If there is a specific problem with your freezer, just add some additional detail for the expert to assist.
