I'm sorry to hear that you needed to replace your washer's control board and I would like to assist you.  I think the first thing that should be done is to look at the part number that was ordered.  Please reply with that number.  I would also like to verify that your washer is not a variant with an A at the end of the model number.  Please reply with the information that I have requested and I will be happy to assist you further.

I think my display/control panel is fired. I have a control panel part F-210 is this the right control panel for my washer? Example: I was a load on speed wash (30 minutes) and it washing down to 20 minutes (spin cycle) and then it flashes IE. My water level is at 246. I also need to know what part or part # I need to replace the water valves, I have to shut the water off because my washer leeks water into the tub even when its not being used.

A:

That control panel is probably not the component that is causing your problem. You indicated that the water level frequency is 246 when you are seeing that IE error code. That would indicate that you probably have a bad electronic PCB control board (part number 6871ER1062G -- the part that Jerry C. provided above). It appears that you already replaced that PCB board once. You may need to replace it again. Before replacing that control board, I recommend that you recheck that water level frequency and the control board operation using the diagnostic test shown in the image below. If the control board is bad, then it will need to be replaced. Note: Since you indicated that the inlet water valves are leaking, I recommend that you replace those components before replacing the PCB control board. There is a possibility that the leaking inlet water valves are causing your IE code. Also, before replacing the inlet water valves, try this quick test. Unplug the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. See if water continues to leak into the washer when it is unplugged. If not, then you probably have a problem with the PCB control board sending a trace voltage to the inlet water valves that is causing the leak instead of the valves themselves. Here are links for the inlet water valves for the washer: Inlet Water Valve Assembly Part 5220FR2008F and Inlet Water Valve Assembly Part 5220FR2006H . Be sure that you UNPLUG the washer and shut off the water supply before accessing internal components and replacing parts. I hope that this additional information helps.

Like you said I just replaced the PCB board, is it possible that I got a bad PCB board. Sorry but those things are spendy. Will check the valves before buying. Thanks

How is it that one part can cost almost as much as the unit. I'll keep it clean, but I was just quoted $290 to fix a transmission where the whole tiller can be replaced for $230.
