Q:

i have a compressor 106175540, need manual, no longer exist. can i download it from somewhere. Manual Part #: INO869 106175540

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

Unfortunately, due to the age of the Craftsman compressor, the owner's manual is no longer available in hard copy, and we do not have the manual available for digital download. I wasn't able to find a manual similar enough for the compressor to share.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

How to convert from 220V to 110V operation? 106175540 Craftsman Twin cylinder tank type compressor

A:

Thank you for your question. The motor # CP1152L is showing to be a 230/120 volt motor. Unfortunately, the only place to get the wiring information will be on the motor itself. These motors generally have a schematic on the motor. If there is no schematic on the motor, remove the small compartment door where the wires are located and there should be a diagram on the back side of the door. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread with any additional details or pictures and I will assist you further. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services.

Wiring the switch properly is very important. I did some research for you but was not able to find the wiring diagram. Your expert will help answer your question. It may take two business days for your expert to reply. I do hope that everything works out.

Thank you for your question. The switch will have two terminals that are marked line and two-marked load. The black from the cord should connect to one screw on the line and the white to the other line screw. Then the black from the motor should connect to the black side on the load and the white from the motor to the white side marked load. I have posted an image below that shows how the switch should be wired. Just click on the image to enlarge it.  Thank you for using Manage my life.   Mark
