Q:

I need a manual for my Sears Air Compressor model 106.174541, serial number 03157-847156. Could you tell me how to get one?

A:

It is always great to have a copy of your owners manual in hand. Unfortunately I was unable to locate a owners manual to your question here on the Manage My Life website. Another website that may be able to help you out is going onto the Sears Parts Direct website which has hard copies on there for you to purchase. If you would like any assistance with your air compressor from an expert than I would recommend you reply to this thread with detail about the problem you are having and an expert will respond to your question shortly. Have a great day.

Due to the age of the air compressor, the owner's manual is no longer available from the manufacturer. If you have any questions regarding the compressor, please get back to us through this thread. We will be delighted to assist you.

Q:

Air compressor 106174541 need wire diagram for the motor to the pressure switch, pressure switch to outlet

A:

Having wiring diagrams when making an electrical repair is very helpful and important. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I know that only the expert can provide wiring diagrams. I did manage to find a link in where you can enter your model number and your owners manual will pop up. I hope my link is useful.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know how to wire the pressure switch on your air compressor.

On most pressure switches for 120 volt installation of the power cord and motor contacts are quite easy. In from the power cord and out to the motor and you match the color codes and the green goes to a clip or screw on the pressure switch frame.

You will have two contact points for the power cord, Black and White, and two contact points for the motor wires black and white.

Connect the black wire to the L1 side and the black wire from the motor to the connecting contact.

Connect the white wire to the Neutral side on the switch and the white wire from the motor to the connecting contact.

The green wire connects to any location on the switch where you can screw or clip the ground wire from the power cord.

I have included a picture below.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
