Larry,

It sounds like you received the wrong head kit for the pump. If you ordered, part number VT252901AJ it should look like the parts in the image below. If what your received does not match the image, I recommend calling and having the part reordered. If the part you received looks like the image, I suspect the wrong image was posted on the parts site. If that is the case, I do not think we will be able to get the correct part for the compressor.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if the parts received is the same as the image.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!

I ordered the part you told me to but they shipped a diferent part # according to the invoice and the part that I received was still another part #. Comparing what I received with the picture is a little confusing. The head and plate look the same as the picture but I received only 4 head bolts the picture shows 10, only need 6. I did receive the 2 smaller bolts the same as the picture but except for the apparent length of the head bolts everything in the picture is different then what came off the compressor. Hope they made an error and shipped the wrong part for I would like to repair the compressor since everything else is good. In the end maybe I will have to put the two compressors together to make one.

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. I looked up the model number you submitted. The part number for the cylinder head is VT252901AJ and can be ordered from the following link. The new head comes with the pressure release tubing and instructions on how to install it. The large tube from the pump should go directly to the tank.

Larry, I looked up the tank for the other compressor. The original tank is no longer available. I tried to look up another tank but did not have any luck. I recommend measuring the motor mount and the pump-mounting bolt pattern. Then keep your eyes open for an old compressor with a bad motor or pump. If the mounts match up you should be able to pick it up cheap. If the tank was available, I suspect the tank would cost more than the valve of the unit.

Please let me know if you have any other questions once you get the parts.
