Q:

Black and Decker DLX1050B / DLX1050W model stopped working

A:

The hot plate on the coffee maker not heating up can be frustrating. I did some research on the model number but was not able to find a solution for the hot plate not heating up. Your expert will be able to help answer your question. It may take two business days for your expert to reply. I do hope that everything works out on the coffee maker.

Thank you for your question. I understand how upsetting it is to find the coffee maker not working first thing in the morning. This does sound like a problem with the power cord or the electronics. Make sure you are plugging into a working outlet and have pressed the power or on/off button. Beyond that, there is no repair for these machines.  Depending on when purchased, it may still be under warranty. If it is, and you have your receipt, use the information at the back of your owner's manual to send in for repair or replacement. The website link is here . If it is out of warranty and it is just the power cord, they may still be able to help.  Otherwise I would recommend getting a new coffee maker. You can do online browsing at Sears.com . Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the shelf. To replace the shelf, tilt it upward and hook it into the slots and then lower it. I'm attaching some pictures with instructions from the owner's manual. I hope this will help you.
