I am looking for a drum assembly for for craftsman line trimmer model number 21032-0012-E1 (same model as posted on 10-23-2011) i checked Searsparts.com using model number 358796121 as posted by Mark T. on 10-24-2011. I was able to find part number 10488 substitution # 530010796. When I received the part it was the wrong size. The ID, OD and overall height of the drum was a match for the part I need to replace, but the lenght of the shaft and box spline opening were the wrong dimensions. At Searsparts.com using # 530010796 as the model I am able to get to various diagrams for the trimmer. #87 on the engine diagram shows the drum assembly I ordered, but #27 on the Cylinder diagram shows the entire cluth assembly (part #699871). The image shows a drum assembly that appears to be what I need. I spoke with customer service at sears parts and was told that there was no one that could give me the dmensions for the drums over the phone. Does anyone know if there is a way to get those dimensions, or does anyone know which drum I need?

I will be happy to assist you. I looked up the model number you submitted. I also looked up other models close to this one. They all have the same clutch. The part number I keep coming up with is 699871. According to the parts list this is the only clutch used. Copy and paste the following link to see the parts list for the engine. http://bsintek.basco.com/BriggsDocumentDisplay/default.aspx?filename=Z6lsvIVJ1DajI I recommend ordering part number 699871. This is the complete clutch. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark

Mark, Thanks for your input. That is the same number I came up with after researching parts again after receiving the wrong drum assembly on my first order. I am concerned about ordering the part and getting the wrong item again. Is there an issue with the diagrams? If the sepperate drum assembly (87 as stated above) and clutch assembly (27) are for he same model, why would the drums be a different size? I only need the drum assembly, but don't mind buying the entire clutch assembly if I can get the right part!

Matthew, I think I found the problem. The parts direct site lists two different trimmers under model number 358796121. If you click on the older one, you will receive the wrong clutch drum. I suspect this is what happened. The clutch drum is not available for the newer trimmer. You need to order the whole assembly. The part number for the clutch is 699871 and can be ordered from the following link. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/Craftsman-Parts/Grass-line-trimmer-Parts/699871/0071/500/Model-358796121/0247/1503820?keySuffixId=NA&pathTaken=partSearch&pathRender=modelComponent&documentCompId=P0504125&diagramPageId=00002&productTypeId=x&searchModelNumber=358796121&subCompDesc=Cylinder/crankcase/crankshaft&brandDesc=CRAFTSMAN&modelDesc=WEEDWACKER&blt=11&shdMod=358796121&keyId=27 I hope this is helpful. Q:

Why have I had to replace the oven control 3 times in less than 3 years?

A:

Without the model number, I am having to cross reference the models of ovens that use this part. I am showing GE ovens with models JCKP15BA3BB and JKP15WA3WW use this type of control. Other models including some Kenmore models of ovens may use this control as a replacement part. The F7 on this type of control can be caused by the control board that you have been replacing (part WB27T10276) or by the control console (or ribbon keytail connector). Since you have been replacing the control board so often, you could have a problem with the connection of the console, you could have a damaged or shorted ribbon connector or a failed control console. You may need to replace the control console along with the control board to correct this problem.

Another problem that could cause frequent failures of the control board would be a problem with voltage supplied to the oven. Shut off electrical power and check the terminal wire connections. You may need to have an electrician check the voltage supplied to the oven through the junction box. Improper voltage supplied to the oven can cause the control board to fail.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with the full model number of your oven.

I've got my third replacement oven control unit on the way but expect it NOT to fix the problem. Every few weeks (or months) when mine starts beeping or shows F7, I take the old one and re-install it and I'm good for another week or two. What is the part number for the referenced control unit with the ribbon cable? I might try installing a new one if it's not too expensive. But if the board mounted ribbon connector is bad on the oven control unit, that won't work anyhow.

Hello Ron. I answered your question about this oven on the original thread that you started. I provided a test for the control panel in that answer. The part number for the key panel on this oven is WB36T10486 for the black panel and WB36T10488 for the white one. Replacing that control panel may fix this problem. If you need more help, let us know.
