Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The part number you provided is the electronic oven control/clock assembly and in order to access and replace it will first require disconnecting the power cord from the power source or by flipping the 2 house circuit breakers dedicated for the range.

To access the electronic oven control;

  1. DISCONNECT POWER TO RANGE, and raise the cook top, and remove oven door. Open the door a little and find the broil stop and lift the oven door up and off the hinges.
  2. Remove three (3) screws from across top edge of control panel and four (4) screws that mount the vent trim to front frame.
  3. Pull control panel assembly forward until end caps clear counter top.
  4. Rotate the control panel down to provide access to the components.
The oven control is fastened with a screw in each corner. Transfer one wire at time from the old to the new control and you shouldn't have any problems. NOTE: Take care not to scratch or damage any of the trim or components.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

The number you provided is not a model number. I will need a model number in order to provide any model specific instructions. Generally speaking you might try pressing the "Clock" button and then enter the time of day and then press start.
