Q:

Info on vintage Kenmore gas range

A:

I know how useful the owners manual can be to find detailed information about an appliance. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I did manage to find a link in where you can enter your appliance model number and the owners manual will pop up. Please keep in mind that if your appliance is over ten years than the owners manual may not be available. I am also adding a second link in where you can set up service to have your appliance fixed. I hope my links are useful.

Thanks Joseph P. I did find that site and as I say my range is over 38 years old. I found some diagrams but no photos.... I am hoping to find someone to restore it so a photo would have been nice. Maybe someone out there has one or wants to sell their old range to me Sharon

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to restore this old range.

It was built in 1968 and was built by a division of GE. Great picture of the range.

I am sorry but I could not find a photo of your range.

All I have is the parts illustration that you can access to get any parts that may be left. Most of them are no longer available.

If you get on Google and put in restoring of old gas ranges and it will show a number of restorers.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Sam A Thank you so much for a prompt response.. I love my oven and thanks so much for the interesting info! I have been wanting to get a new sparkly double oven but now that I am watching a show called "American Restoration" on tv I thought, "Why Not"? Thus my search began... I will take your advise and Google for a restoration place close to me. Or call Rick Dale in Vegas! If only! So, thanks again... Sharon
