Q:

Substitution Thermostat Rating 1033247810 Kenmore Kenmore gas built-in oven

A:

I can understand how important it is to have the right information for your oven. The substitution thermostat is rated to handle a high amount of voltage. This is actually better for your oven, because it is less likely to go out. This will not effect the oven's function. I hope this helps. Thank you for your question on the wall oven not working.

Before we get into the diagnosis tics please check the clock timer to make sure it is the manual bake mode. If it accidentally got put into the auto mode the oven will not come on.

There are not many parts available for this 1978 wall oven.

If you do need the igniter it is no longer available. If you need the safety valve it also is not longer available.

If the electrical contacts in the oven control are the problem, the oven thermostat it is available.

If you feel comfortable using a volt/ohm meter and with taking the oven apart to examine the burner igniter then please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot to see if we can figure out what the problem is with the oven not working.
