Q:

Evaperator drain freezing up RF26VABWP

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear that the oven is not heating properly. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

The drain can freeze if the freezer temperature gets too cold (below zero), if air leaks into the cabinet or if moisture migrates up the drain line. Sometimes there may not be an explanation why it's happening. Check the door gaskets for good seals, try to stick a thermometer inside the freezer to confirm temperature, and open the back panel to inspect the drain and clear if necessary.

You will normally need to unplug the refrigerator and remove the inside back panel of the freezer to access and clear the drain pan and drain tube under the evaporator. Since the drain has frozen up and has been completely cleared several times in the past, then you may need to have a service technician physically examine it and take some steps to permanently fix the problem. Sometimes this would involve installing an evaporator drain tube heater, or one of the issues outlined above.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question. The  WD28X10309 Basket Assembly comes with wheels.  It would not include the silverware basket.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
