Q:

Replacement of load size knob WDRR2500K3WW Ge Washer

A:

I can understand how important it is to have the right information for your washer. On this model, there is a clip that holds the knob in place. If it came out or if the knob broke you will need to replace them. The knob and clip come as one assembly, and the part number is WH01X10307. You can order this from this link: Sears Parts Direct. To put the knob back on you will need a pair of needle nose pilers.  Place the knob onto the shaft and insted the clip into both. I hope this helps. Q:

How do I fix a start knob that has broken off of my GE dryer?

A:

Diagnosing Dryers can be difficult. While you wait for the expert to review your model, you can check a similar questions from a previous expert post if you like. I attached the links below. If you do decide to have a technician diagnose and make repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the handy scheduler.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I'm not clear in understanding if the shaft on the start switch is broken or the shaft on the start knob. If the shaft on the start switch is broken then you will need to replace the start switch and the knob could be reused but you would have to pull the broken shaft out of the start knob first before pushing it back on the shaft of the new start switch. The u-clip will come already installed inside the new start knob if you need a new start knob.

If the knob is broken, replace the knob. If the shaft on the start switch is broken, replace the start switch.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord before removing the screws from behind the console to access the start switch.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
