Thank you for your question.  I can see how a new problem popping up after the water level was replaced would be upsetting. The washer symptoms do seem to jump all over and I agree this may end up being the control.  Before replacing the control, I would open the console back up, remove the pressure hose from the new water level switch. Remember to disconnect the washer.  Make sure it does not have any cracks or pin holes.  Blow through it to remove any soap or debris that may be in the hose.  This can keep the washer control from seeing where the cycle is. Double check the connections on the new water level switch. Remove the timer knob and check to see if it is worn inside.  If it is worn, replace. Check the lid switch for continuity and that it is making connection. A bad lid switch is often responsible for these symptoms. It may also be the motor shifter. This is a check and repair that requires disassembly.  I recommend a technician be scheduled for this repair.  You can schedule a technician at Sears Home Services. If further help is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

I have a new controls asm WH12X10271 to put into my GE washer. It is not reseting itself..all the lights are blinking. How do I complete the installation?

A:

It sounds like you forgot to swap over the model select plug from your old control board. The new control will not work without the model select plug. If you need to order a new model select plug, part number is; WH12X10094 www.searspartsdirect.com Please see the image provided for more details.
