I know how important it is to have a repair manual for the Kenmore toaster oven. Owners manuals are always available on managemylife.com, but the repair manual, if available will take some research. An expert response may take two business days, usually sooner. Thanks for you patience. For the service unit in your area, the link is provided below.

I am sorry to hear the toaster oven just keeps going. That is definitely a scary thing to be happening. You didn't indicate how old the toaster oven is. If it is still covered by warranty, take it to our closest repair center for repair, or replacement. The problem you described sounds more like the timer itself, rather than the knob being the issue.

The timer is a important operating part and because it gets frequent use can have things go wrong with it. Frequently all that is required is to clean it. Be sure to unplug the toaster oven before working on it. To access the timer, remove the side panel. (Sometimes you must also remove the cord.) Check the contacts for pitting or discoloration. If they are not making good contact, you can gently rub them with a very fine sandpaper. Then clean them with an electrical contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Be sure not to bend the contacts out of alignment.

If the contacts are fused or broken, the timer is not repairable. In this case, the manufacturer unfortunately does not provide that as a replaceable part, so it would be time to replace the toaster oven.

Should that be the case, I have included a link to our Sears.com to check out some new ones.
