Water heater leaking


Thank you for your question. Leaks from the water heater do raise concern. If the leaks are from the top, it may be condensation on the pipes or a leak from the anode rod. It would be unlikely the tank itself is leaking from the top, but if so, the heater would need to be replaced. The anode rod, if leaking can often be replaced. You can check parts prices at Sears Parts Direct . Check page 24 in the manual for more information. If the location of the leak is not clear, or if it is the anode, I recommend having a technician visit to diagnose. If you do wish to check new water heaters, Sears has a wide variety.
