Thank you for your question on the air compressor for removing lug nuts.

It may not have enough volume in the air tank to operate the impact wrench to remove the lug nuts.

I do not know what size air compressor you bought but you would need an air compressor that will produce at least 125 psi and have an air tank of 15 to 20 gallons to have enough volume to remove the lug nuts. You would also need a half in impact wrench that will have enough power at 400 ft. lbs. to remove car and truck lug nuts.

Please give me a little more information about your air compressor.
