Defective refrigerator filters
I see that my frustration with trying to find a filter that actually fits my Samsung refrigerator is not unique. The filters could be installed very easily until a few years ago. Now, even after remodeling the teeth on the filter, I can't get it to install. From the reviews, it's obvious that Samsung knows about the problem but for some reason refuses to fix it. Shameful!

Don't buy it, it doesn't fit
Just like everyone else, this filter does not fit my older Samsung fridge despite being listed as the compatible filter. Also, the stupid "twist your old filter all the way to the left to reset the lock" troubleshooting guide did not work for me, and sounds like a great way to break your water filter completely. Ridiculous that Samsung hasn't addressed this issue.

Samsung's Own Replacement Part DOESN'T EVEN FIT?!?
Are you kidding me? If you have a 10yr+ old fridge and Samsung says this part is your replacement, good chance it won't fit. They changed the design and kept the same part number. Will not screw into my RFG297. Buy the knockoff versions.

Does not fit
I following link to the instructions provided by Samsung to replace filters that won't fit (lock in place) and it will NOT work. I nearly broke my refrigerator.

Totally unimpressed with Samsung!
Samsung really messed up by producing two different key lock mechanisms fir the same model of filter. Also, their website even recommends a tall slim filter for my fridge instead of tge short fat one it actually needs! On top of that, it's NOT easy to remove and old filter, especially due to it's location. They can't have got it any more wrong!
